Food & Drink
One of the most popular types of loot in Skyrim is food. Players can find a lot of food and drink in a game that doesn’t even have a hunger system.
So, it’s easy to see why buying these things from a seller is a waste of money. Most of these things are inexpensive, but that’s no reason to buy them in the first place!
Scrolls are very expensive in Skyrim, which makes sense since you can only use them once. Buying them is a complete waste of gold that could be used to make money in other ways.
You can also find and steal scrolls all over Skyrim, and there are a lot of them. This makes the Dragonborn’s decision to buy them even more short-sighted and a waste of his or her hard-earned gold.
Basic Clothing
During a run of Skyrim, players will get a lot of different sets of armor. Players have to keep themselves safe at all times, and their gear is a big part of that.
So, it goes without saying that if the Dragonborn only has the most basic clothes, he or she has no chance of escaping a hit from most enemies in the game. Aside from roleplaying, there is no reason to buy common, useless clothes from any seller.
Potions & Poisons
There are a lot of potions in Skyrim, and players can also use chemistry to make the potions they want. In fact, there are so many different kinds of drinks in the game that most people won’t even use them. Instead, they’ll just keep collecting them.
Because of this, most of the drinks in the game are now just dead weight that can be sold. Since there are many ways to get these alchemical products, players are strongly discouraged from giving real money to any alchemist in Tunnel Rush game to buy them.
Regular Alchemy Materials
In Skyrim, it doesn’t take long to find herbs, animal parts, and other things that can be used in alchemy. This makes it pretty easy to learn chemistry, as long as players are careful about what they loot.
Getting these things from alchemists and herbalists is definitely not a good idea. These things sell for a lot of money and will slowly eat away at the Dragonborn’s hard-earned cash.
There are times when players might be tempted to buy an eye-catching piece of gear. This could be a durable suit of armor or a powerful weapon that turns foes into mincemeat with each shot. Most dealers don’t sell these unique weapons very often, though.
Most of the time, merchants sell the simplest and least useful pieces of tools. Players shouldn’t spend a single piece of gold on their things unless they want to waste all of the money they’ve saved up.
Ores & Ingots
If a player wants to make their own guns, they will need a lot of raw materials. Ores and bars are important parts of the process because they determine what kind of sword a player gets.
Exploration is a good way to find both ores and bars without too much trouble. If players choose to buy them instead, they will just waste their money, especially if they don’t know what kind of tool they want to make in the first place.
In Skyrim, there are only really two kinds of tools that are worth getting. One is a lockpick, which lets players get into restricted places and open locked chests where they can find valuable items. The other is any quest item.
Almost every other kind of tool in the game is completely useless and should be ignored if players don’t want to get too heavy in record time. Even though this is debatable, getting a junk tool is by far the worst way to spend money in the game.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
